I was so relaxed, I started to snore a little but would catch myself and wake up :-) We paid $ 36 each. The pressure was very firm which is what we like. First of all, there was the added perks of getting to choose what foot soak you get and the use of a hot pad. During our massage, we got two males who were both great at their jobs. We are used to places like Happy Day Spa which can be hit and miss. My wife and I are from the Sacramento area and frequent such reflexology places. I think of it as expecting the best steak or sushi from a buffet.
It’s funny how people have such high expectations for a Chinese run massage place that offers such cheap services. I am giving this place 5 stars simply because of the great prices along with the quality of service. Hands down one of the best reflexology places we have visited. And the fact that they know that you can hear everything that’s going on, and kept talking really makes me believe they don’t give a sh/t Like literally 30 times in less than 5 minutes. I would’ve put 5 stars but the girls in the front are not welcoming which almost made me leave and they were practicing their English while my massage was going on, and it would’ve been fine if they were a bit quiet but they were repeating the same word «towel «over and over and over again and then I just started getting a little irritated. (You should tip on the price before discount) You get what you pay for but if you’re smart, polite, and communicate, it sometimes works in your favor. So with for a 55 minute massage, it was definitely worth $ 29 and a $ 12 tip. Then when it came to everything every other body part, he was diligent, massaged in patterns (I hate when similar places just dance their hands on your back with no consistency because it’s the opposite of relaxing), and was constantly asking if the pressure was okay. I like to be lightly massaged once in awhile because it’s relaxing and he was doing that on my face and hair so I wasn’t being ripped off. In the beginning the massage was kind of bullsh/t but this is my review on the way I like it so I can’t say that it was bad. He still shorted me 3 – 5 minutes but I’m okay with that because he was polite and trying his hardest, considering he wasn’t really that young and strong. I read on some reviews that the massage was cut short 15 – 20 minutes so I made it known right before the massage started that I looked at the clock, even asking «what time is it? «, other places definitely give you the entire hour that’s advertised but like I said, make the best out of a $ 29 massage.
This is all part of making the best out of a $ 29 massage. Which is fine with me because I don’t want too much pressure anyways, but if that’s what you like, make sure to ask them before hand. I saw that Daniel was going to be the person massaging me and by the looks of him, I knew it wasn’t going to be a deep tissue massage.
I read reviews prior to visiting but I had an hour to kill in the area so decided to give it a try. This is a review based on my groupon price of $ 29 for an hour/my body type/and friendly-ness of DANIEL.
